Making Cards

This card was made at our DC, from using odd bits of card paper, silk flowers and ribbon. The backing paper is printed from our collection on our DC computer. We cut around it so that some of the flowers stood out a little. We then cut out different sized card and used shaped scissors then layered the card. The little piece under the flower is made using acetate of which we placed double sided tape on one side then added glitter, to get the effect keep rubbing in the glitter until it looks like glass and has a shine to it. You may be able to see from this picture what I mean here. We added some ribbon to hang a small tag on at the bottom, then finally added the silk flower and used a brad to attach it with. You can buy silk flowers and brads in most craft shops. But this flower was from a cheep bunch of flowers we just pulled them all off and were left with just the blooms as you can see by the photo. Brads are normally around £2.99 for a pack of 100 for the tiny ones larger sizes vary in amounts and price.

We got lots of flowers from a cheep bunch that cost us £1.99 in a little £1 shop.
