Fabric on Canvas Board

This fabric art work was made from using a felt background then adding more cut out shapes of felt. Adding beads and seeds to represent coconuts and dolphins, we found some oranges netting and added shells inside. If you look closely you can see the embroidered crab. The felt was then mounted onto a canvas board and added some lace to finish. The picture was made by Support worker with the ideas coming from service users and other staff members. These work well as a group therapy, where some service users are unable to sew or use their hands. We are going to make more of these for each season of the year.
