It has been quite some time since we last updated the blog, although we have not been lazy. Recently one of the assistants came up with the idea of a bird feeder heart of nuts. This is done by making holes in the nuts and threading them on a wire coat hanger. Then using raffeta tied a tassle at the bottom and a bow at the top. As you can see by the photograph. Many of the service users have taken part with threading the nuts on the wire. We hope to sell these to raise money for funds to buy further materials and also a new radio for our day centre.
There are many ways of producing items for sale, we have put together bags of cones and dried oranges with cinnamon sticks for Christmas gifts that can be used in a glass bowel as an arrangement. More ideas are added to our flickr photo album you access the album from this blog.
We hope to see more ideas from other day centres that can be added to this blog site.
